Where the links go

Every product button on this site points to an Amazon search or listing for that model, carrying a tracking identifier that tells Amazon the visit came from here. Outbound commercial links are marked rel="sponsored", which is the attribute search engines expect on a paid or commissioned link.

A short version of this disclosure appears on every page that carries such a link, not only here, so that it is visible at the moment it is relevant.

What commission does not buy

Commission rates in this category are set by Amazon and are effectively the same across the brands covered here, so there is no rate that would make one recommendation more profitable than another. No manufacturer pays for placement, supplies units, or reviews these pages before they go up.

The comparisons are built from published specifications, as described on the method page. A verdict follows from the registry, and the registry does not know what anything pays.

Prices and availability

This site does not print prices. Amazon's terms require any price shown to carry a visible timestamp when it is refreshed less often than hourly, and a stale figure is worse than no figure. Follow the link to see what a unit actually costs and whether it is in stock right now.

Audience measurement and merchant clicks

Audience measurement. With your consent, Google Analytics 4 measures visits to our pages. Without it, no measurement cookie is set; Google only receives cookieless signals used to estimate traffic. Your choice is kept for 6 months and can be changed at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Clicks to merchants. When you click a link to a merchant, our server records the page, the merchant and the position of the link, with no cookie, no IP address and no identifier: these anonymous counts tell us which pages are useful. They are kept for 13 months.
