How to read a comparison here

Two units rarely differ on everything. Most pairs are close on capacity and separate on something less obvious: how fast they switch over when the mains drops, whether cycle life is quoted to 80% or 70% of original capacity, or whether the surge figure is a genuine surge rating or a voltage-reducing mode that suits a kettle but not a fridge.

The tables put those differences side by side. The written sections explain which of them actually changes a purchase.
